when you have a corgi, yellow lab, and an aussie to bring the coyotes to you. If you’ll recall, about a month ago I ended up with a coyote on my front porch. All because my dogs were out chasing one around and apparently he thought that was a safe place to head. So, about 3:00 this morning I hear dogs barking in a frenzy below my bedroom window. I open the screen on the window, look down, and there is a coyote crouched in the corner trying to get away from the dogs. Nasty coyote with little hair and he needed to go. Wade leaned out the window (from the second floor of the house) and shot him with his pistol. We’re redneck like that.
While I greatly appreciate my “hunting” dogs, I would love for them to keep all wildlife away from my house. It makes for a great story, but I would rather “hunt” the coyotes than have them join me in my house.
I think they are confused. I’m going to have to have a talk with them about chasing things AWAY from the house and not TO the house.
I’m going to go practice running away from the house by getting in my 3 miles today. And I think I’ll make the “hunters” go along so they can chase off anything that comes my way.
Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Chase them off or chase them to you…..hahaha!! Love it….I thought my dogs were the only ones who chased coyotes to the houses..remember the one on my roof a few years ago….CRAZY!
Maybe we need dog obedience school. Or herding school…..
Could you please be a better blogger and get pictures of this stuff;)?
Ughhh…..I thought I’d dodged the picture thing. I wasn’t thinking photo op at 3:00 in the morning. Although Wade leaning out the window with his pistol deserved a video and not just a picture!
